  • Apple users beware. A fake virus alert is now coming to you. Don't be fooled into give up $60 - $80. It's not just affecting PC's anymore. On 5/25/11 another Maleware attack has occured on the MAC OS. MacDefender installs itself without a password! Apple will fix only this specific instance with an update to OS X.

  • Computer acting funny? Download MalwareBytes here or you can go to the following address www.malwarebytes.org and download the software for free. NOTE: If you go to the website, please make sure your download file name is "mbam-setupxxxx.exe" else it is the wrong file.

  • The first quarter SPAM results are in! It is very interesting. The USA is very low in countries that were the source of spam (3%) while India leads the charge with 9.8%. This was due to the closure of some top spyware companies here in the US. Regarding email detections, Russia is still first with 13% while the US is 10.44% and over the course of the quarter, Russia is on a decline while the USA is increasing. Be careful as to what you open in your email!

    Paypal, eBay, Habbo, Facebook, HSBC, Chase, Santander, WoW, Bank of America, Lloyds TSB are the top 10 favorite companies that spammers love to use. Notice that Facebook is NOT in the top three; Habbo (another social networking site) has surpassed it and Google which was 5th the end of last year isn’t even in the top 20.
